Being over 50 changes your perspective on life. We can take a new look at our life before 50, forgive our sins and past failures, laugh and move on.
We all have made mistakes, run the wrong direction, tried to hide our transgressions, or denied our beliefs. The truth is biblical characters did these things too. They were ordinary people just like us. Moses was a murderer, Rahab was a prostitute, Peter denied knowing Jesus, yet God used these ordinary people to accomplish his purposes and callings throughout scripture. We can all agree on us being ordinary. God uses ordinary people like us to accomplish extra-ordinary things if you let him.

God has shown me how our lives are carefully planned by a master tailor, one that sees around the curves, inside the seams and behind the lining of life. Through the scriptures he will show you His plans, his provision and protection. In the scriptures I see a bespoke craftsman who can create beauty from torn pieces. He will stitch our lives together with a master hand. Sometimes our lives require ripping apart, basting together and restitching to get it right. He is patient and never hurries. Perfection is non-existent, true fine hand craftsmanship takes a lifetime to achieve. Just as fine woolen fabric is molded and shaped by master tailors, God molds and shapes us for his purposes. This is our calling, to fulfill our potential in Jesus Christ.
“For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me with a robe of righteousness.” Isaiah 61:10 NLT
